In 2017 I worked as text director for The Other Solos, a video project in which six actors originating from outside the UK performed Shakespeare speeches relating to migration. The Other Solos is a response to The Guardian‘s ‘Shakespeare Solos’ in which well-known UK performers recorded a variety of Shakespeare’s speeches and soliloquies. The Other Solos project was organised by my former MA Acting student Paula Rodriguez, and featured two other former students, Konstantinos Kavakiotis and Lise Aagard Knudsen, as well as my wife Liraz Chamami and friend Paul Sebastian Mauch (both of whom appeared in the 2012 Globe to Globe international season at Shakespeare’s Globe).
